exposing VIDA Markets Malaysia

As increasingly growing financial influencers share their financial and investment knowledge on social media, more investors are inclined to look for potentially favorable investment opportunities on Facebook, Instagram, X, and others. Disparate brokers emerging on social media also solicit clients with promotions of their financial offerings, which may lead to potential fraud risks and hidden traps.

A trader reported his case of being scammed by VIDA Markets Malaysia, a so-called investment learning group on Telegram claiming to help realize financial freedom and easy wealth. His ill-fated investment began when he was searching for lucrative opportunities on Facebook and stumbled upon VIDA Markets Malaysia.

Despite a request for more details about the investment program before committing money, the trader still lost his head a bit due to the high returns promised by the scammers. He therefore agreed to join them with a capital of RM1,000 upon several explanations from the scammers.

The withdrawal attempt failed although he was subsequently notified that his trades had been profitable. The scammers asked for another payment for currency exchange to withdraw his money. It was just a front for the scammers to scam more money from him. Scammers are always ruthless and hateful.

Most victims believe the scammer's lies and continue transferring money, as this trader did. After sending an additional RM2,000, the trader was eventually kicked off the VIDA Markets Malaysia’s group.

BrokersView Reminds You

VIDA Markets Malaysia misused the name and logo of VidaMarkets, a broker regulated by the FSCA. However, its group link now directs to an interface that displays a different logo - a logo similar to that of HFM, a multi-regulated forex broker. Therefore, VIDA Markets Malaysia may be continuing to commit fraud under a new appearance.

Victims of platforms like VIDA Markets Malaysia, which are not backed by a physical entity, let alone subject to financial regulations, have little or no way of recovering their lost funds.

BrokersView wants to underscore the imperative of informed decision-making and the paramount importance of choosing a reputable and reliable trading platform as the cornerstone of a trader's journey towards financial success and avoiding fraud.
