MFSA Issues New Warnings Against Clone Company and Unlicensed Entity

2024-04-17 Brokersview

The latest warnings issued by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) alert the public to clone company Trive04 and unlicensed entity Benton Hill Capital.

Trive04 had an internet presence at https://trive04.com/, currently offline. This website is using the details of Trive Financial Services Malta Limited, an MFSA-licenced company. Fraudsters are using the details and website contents of this genuine company in an effort to deceive the public.

Trive04 is not a Maltese-registered company and is not authorized to provide any financial services in or from Malta. Additionally, Trive04 has no association with Trive Financial Services Malta Limited.

The website https://trive04.com/ therefore appears to be a clone of the website of the legitimate entity and the public should therefore refrain from entering into any transactions or otherwise dealing with the false entity.

Benton Hill Capita has an internet presence at https://www.bentonhillcapital.com/. The Entity purports to be a “legal company registered in Malta” that is authorized by the MFSA to act as an “Investment agency, Insurance, Mining, and Financial Management Services”, making unauthorized use and reference to company details of another Maltese registered company.

The MFSA has confirmed that Benton Hill Capital is neither a Maltese-registered company nor licensed or otherwise authorized by the MFSA to provide any financial services that are required to be licensed or otherwise authorized under Maltese law.

The MFSA reminds consumers not to enter into any financial services transaction unless they have ascertained that the entity with whom the transaction is being made is authorized to provide such services by the MFSA or another reputable financial services regulator.
