IG Group, the global retail currency pairs and CFDs firm, has removed Robert van Eyden from the role of South African CEO in a workforce reduction.
Robert had held the position of South African CEO since July 2022, when he joined IG.
IG South Africa's Chief Operating Officer, Aphindile AB Bokleni, will replace Robert as CEO while continuing to fulfill his current responsibilities as the COO.
Bokleni has been with IG for eight years, since joining the company in August 2015. In February 2018, he was relocated to India as Client Operations Manager. From July 2020, he officially became COO of IG South Africa.
In August this year, June Felix, former CEO of IG Group, resigned due to health issues.
