Wake Up! No One is Giving You Money for Nothing, It's a Scam

According to a specialist from the Federal Trade Commission, scammers who pretend to be lottery winners are posing risks to the public.

The opening speech of the scammers often starts with “surprise”. Fraudsters often use the name of real lottery winners, claim to be lottery winners, and say they plan to give away a part of the money to the first one who messages them.

If someone replies to the post, the fakers urge and ask for personal information such as phone number. Then they will tell you to top up gift cards and send them the numbers from the back of the card to cover “processing and delivery fees.”

To avoid praying on such a scam, never pay to get a prize and ignore ‘give away’ posts.
