UK Financial Regulator FCA Warns A Clone of Admiral Markets

The UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) yesterday (June 13) warned of an unlicensed firm posing as Admiral Markets and published the clone's website, telephone numbers and email.

According to the information presented on the cloned website, the unlicensed broker misused the brand name "Admiral Markets" to promote financial products and services, and also stole the FCA regulatory information of the regulated broker with the same name.

The FCA said the fraudster copied details of the authorized firm in an attempt to make the public think it was a genuine firm.

"This firm is not authorised by us but has been contacting people pretending to be an authorised firm."

The regulated financial services provider Admiral Markets has been regulated by the FCA since June 12, 2013. It also has obtained licenses in other jurisdiction such as Australia.

Since 2017, the FCA has warned five clones posing as Admiral Markets, warning investors to beware of being scammed.
