Interactive Brokers Expands Offerings in Japan by Adding CFDs

Recently, the notable financial service provider Interactive Brokers announced the expansion of investment options in Japan with the addition of Global Contracts for Difference (CFD) on US stocks.

The new CFD offerings let Japanese investors trade US stock and ETFs with leverage, helping the trading strategies be more capable and flexible.

Japanese investors can now access new features, including IBKR Desktop, expanded overnight trading hours, fractional shares trading, and an enhanced Japanese website.

“We are pleased to introduce CFDs on US and global stocks to our Japanese clients. This addition allows them to actively trade US stocks and ETFs with leverage, providing a dynamic tool for enhancing their investment strategies and maximizing their trading potential,” said Dan Kerrigan, Chief Executive Officer of Interactive Brokers Securities Japan Inc. “With this launch, we reaffirm our commitment to Japan, and to helping our clients our discover investment opportunities locally and worldwide with powerful trading technology, competitive pricing, and extensive global product offerings.”
