City Index Launches Its Green Thematic Index

City Index, a UK provider of financial Spread Betting, CFD and Forex Trading and the subsidiary of StoneX Group Inc, has offered its clients to trade its Green index.

Each thematic index represents a themed group of US-listed equities. Themes can be based on sectors or performance of the equities according to certain metrics. Thematic indices present traders with an opportunity to speculate on broad market-wide trends without having to trade multiple equity positions.

Traders may use thematic indices to:

The Green index offers traders to speculate on the performance of the top 30 weighted green US firms. The constituents include: Xylem, Brookfield Renewable, First Solar, Idacorp, Beyond Meat.

Thematic index markets generally move according to the cumulative share price of each constituent company in the index. Factors that may impact share prices include earnings releases, macroeconomic events, and news relating to constituent companies.
