Interactive Brokers, one of the biggest US-based brokerage firm, recently posted its trading volumes for the month of December, indicating a drop in DARTs on a MoM basis.
More specifically, the broker registered a DARTs of 2.229 million, 20% lower than the previous month and 3% lower than the previous year. In December, Interactive Brokers's ending client equity reached $373.8 billion, up 30% compared with last year and about even with last month. Moreover, the broker's ending client margin loan balances hit $54.6 billion, showing 40% increase compared to the prior year and about even with prior month.
In terms of client accounts, the US brokerage reported that the total number of traders on the platform was 1.68 million, up 56% than the same period last year and increased by 2% from November 2021.
Recently, Interactive Brokers has added a lot of new trading products on the IBKR platform.
