The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) on Wednesday (April 17) flagged Exante (Ext Ltd) on its Investor Alert List.
Exante is an investment firm regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) with a proprietary trading platform.
Singapore's financial regulator did not detail the specific reasons for placing Exante on the List, but it presented three types of entities that could be warned in the list's description.
Notably, Exante claims to be regulated by three financial regulators - the U.K.'s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), and Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).
However, no search results matching "Exant" or "Ext" are available on the SFC portal.
The Investor Alert List is updated from time to time by the MAS and lists some of the entities that may be mistaken for being regulated by the MAS. Certain entities may also be included in the list if they make an investment offer that could be mistaken to have been registered with MAS. To date, MAS has issued warnings against 809 entities.
