Capital.com Sees Trading Volume Top $1 Trillion in 2023

London-based retail forex and CFDs broker Capital.com has disclosed that the total trading volume on its platform reached $1.2 trillion in 2023, a 53% surge from the previous year. This is the first time since its inception in 2016 that client trading volume has surpassed the $1 trillion mark, the broker noted.

In the first quarter of 2024, the platform's global volume reached $337 billion, with the majority coming from clients in the Middle East, followed by Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. This figure represents a 12% increase compared to the same period last year. The most traded were indices, followed by commodities.

During the same period, the number of active traders on the platform grew 17% year-on-year.

As reported last month, Capital.com expanded its operations in the MENA region with a Category 1 license from the UAE's Securities and Commodities Authority.
